ANR project (2025-2029): Optimization of single photon source by using the photonic exceptional point of polymeric nanostructures (CHOCOLAT)
The CHOCOLAT aims to investigate theoretically and experimentally optical properties of a single quantum emitter (SQE) determistically incorporated at exceptional points of one and two-dimensional (1D and 2D) photonic nanostructures. A first challenge, tackled in WP1, is to design and calculate the optical properties (emission spectrum, emission count, lifetime, fluorescent polarization, and emission directivity) of a SQE coupled to a 1D and 2D polymeric nanostructures at its exceptional point. At room temperature, high quality SQE (narrow spectrum, stable and bright) will be achieved with single quantum dot, and with hBn nano-flake (WP2). In WP3, we will demonstrate the coupling of a SQE to 1D and 2D polymeric photonic nanostructures by use of an efficient method, called low-one photon absorption (LOPA) direct laser writing, to elaborate single photons properties. The project CHOCOLAT addresses the un-exploited and un-usual optical properties of nanophotonic structures for optimization of quantum light source.
