Congratulations to Emmanuelle Deleporte on her appointment as a member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) under the Innovation Chair. This prestigious distinction recognizes the excellence of her translational research at the intersection of chemistry and semiconductor physics. Her innovative work is paving the way for a new generation of optoelectronic devices through the development of high-performance, stable thin films of halogenated perovskites. This recognition is well-deserved for her major contribution to this promising field!
Congratulations to our colleague François Marquier, a professor at ENS Paris-Saclay and researcher at LuMIn, who, along with Benjamin Vest of the Charles Fabry Laboratory, received the Arnulf-Françon Prize from the French Optical Society for their book titled “Light and Electromagnetism: An Introduction to the Electromagnetic Engineering of Light Waves.”
Anna Celeste has been hired as a CNRS research fellow at LuMIn. She is joining the Optics & Materials: Quantum & Nano theme, where she will develop the project “Exploration of Exotic Excited States under High Pressure,” which aims to better understand the mechanisms responsible for broadband light emission in photoactive materials such as halogenated perovskites.
At the 27th Congress of the French Physical Society (SFP), the connections between art and science were explored through various exhibitions, including the creation of Volvox, co-led by Bruno Palpant from LuMIn.
Antoine Hubert has been appointed as a Lecturer (Maître de Conférences) in the Physics Department of ENS Paris-Saclay. He joins the Biophotonics, Neuroscience, and Optometry theme at LuMIn to develop his research activities.
