Direct Synthesis of Gold Nanoparticles in Polymer Matrix

We report an original method for directly fabricating gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) in a polymer matrix using a thermal treatment technique and theoretically and experimentally investigate their plasmonic properties. The polymeric-metallic…

Dynamics of DNA Through Solid‐state Nanopores Fabricated by Controlled Dielectric Breakdown

Controlled dielectric breakdown (CDB) is gaining popularity for fabricating solid-state nanopores in situ with size control in a simple, low-cost, and scalable way. This technique could be used for a broad type of applications in the field of…

Optimization of the conversion efficiency and evaluation of the noise figure of an optical frequency converter based on a dual-pump fiber phase sensitive amplifier

We propose a new architecture of phase sensitive optical frequency converter based on dual-pump phase sensitive amplification in a highly nonlinear fiber. This frequency converter allows generation of extra tones through nonlinear four-wave mixing…

In-vivo fast non-linear microscopy reveals impairment of fast axonal transport induced by molecular motor imbalances in the brain of zebrafish larvae

Cargo transport by molecular motors along microtubules is essential for the function of eucaryotic cells, in particular neurons in which axonal transport defects constitute the early pathological features of neurodegenerative diseases. Mainly…

Birefringence and dichroism effects in the spin noise spectra of a spin-1 system

We perform spin noise spectroscopy experiments in metastable helium atoms at room temperature, with a probe light whose frequency is blue detuned from the D 0 line. Both circular birefringence fluctuations (Faraday noise) and linear birefringence…

Using chiral ammonium cations to modulate the structure of 1D hybrid lead bromide perovskites for linearly polarized broadband light emission at room temperature

We report on a series of low dimensional 1D enantiomerically pure and racemic lead bromide perovskite compounds of the formula BuA-PbBr 3 , MBA-PbBr 3 and EBA-PbBr 3 (BuA, cation derived from 2-Butylamine, MBA from Methylbenzylamine and EBA from a…

Realization of Polaritonic Topological Charge at Room Temperature Using Polariton Bound States in the Continuum from Perovskite Metasurface

Exciton-polaritons are mixed light–matter excitations resulting from the strong coupling regime between an active excitonic material and photonic resonances. Harnessing these hybrid excitations provides a rich playground to explore fascinating…
